Emma Claye Releases New Single “Tired,” A Timely Reflection on the State of the World

(New York, NY) — Actress, singer, and songwriter Emma Claye (she/her) has released her latest single, Tired, a poignant and deeply personal song that speaks to the weight of the world and the fight for a better future. Originally written as a journal entry years ago, Tired resonates now more than ever, capturing the emotional toll of injustice while inspiring hope for change.

“The song started out as a journal entry inspired by the state of the world and my place in it,” Claye shares. “Although the song was written years ago, it felt particularly relevant toward the end of 2024, and I felt compelled to finally release it. There’s so much going on in our world, and this song reflects the toll and heaviness of it all—where we’ve come from and where we are. It also represents a desire to move toward and fight for a better reality underpinned by justice and equity for all people.”

Emma Claye, originally from Prince George’s County, Maryland, is a multi-talented performer and songwriter whose artistic journey spans both music and acting. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Master of Public Health from Yale University. Now based in New York, she has trained at esteemed institutions such as the British American Drama Academy at Oxford University, Stella Adler Studio of Acting, and Upright Citizens Brigade, and currently studies under Anthony Abeson.

Claye’s acting career includes roles on Harlem (Prime Video) and Blue Bloods (CBS), as well as national campaigns for Imperfect Foods, Martell Cognac, Blue Apron, and Maybelline New York. She previously toured across the United States and Canada as part of the national tour of Hamilton.

As a songwriter, Claye has performed original compositions across North America and has been featured in Medium and Disrupt Magazine. She frequently collaborates with various New York-based artists and was recently featured on “Over Me” by rap artist Avgust and “Dancing Company” by artist-producer Otto Botte.

Tired follows her recent release, bird song, and is now available on all streaming platforms.
