Jazz Guitarist Christophe Goze Releases New Project “City Lights”
City Lights is a nu jazz travel of sound: each track a brief escape into an influential world city, from neon nights to seaside dawns. Smooth grooves, modern harmonies, and lounge-soaked textures capture local moods—inviting you to wander, breathe, and get lost in light.
Christophe: City Lights is my first Nu Jazz project. I’ve tried many times in the past to produce jazz, mostly Smooth Jazz, or what I like to call Jazzy Lounge but this time I approached it differently: I tried to forget I was a guitar player and think more like an electronic producer, chasing the feeling and freedom of jazz from another angle.
The concept is simple: Each track has a destination. I wanted every piece to capture the atmosphere, rhythm, and “flavour” of a city through sound, texture, and groove.
