Following the welcome announcement that two-time GRAMMY-winner Corinne Bailey Rae will release her first full-length album in 6 years, The Heart Speaks In Whispers (Virgin Records), on May 13, and the release of the first video for the exuberant lead song “Been To The Moon,” the British singer-songwriter has released another irresistible new offering with “Green Aphrodisiac.” Written by Corinne with Paris and Amber Strother from the LA future-soul band KING, the song features musical contributions from Paris as well as Esperanza Spalding and Miles Davis-bassist Marcus Miller. “Green Aphrodisiac” is available now on all streaming sites and as an instant grat download with pre-orders of The Heart Speaks In Whispers.

“This song is inspired by intoxicating spring days lying in the grass in the afternoon, blossom and sunlight,” says Corinne. “The same thing that grows in the garden flows in me in you. Hope you get lost in it!”

Corinne has announced UK dates including headlining shows in London and Leeds this April as well as spring festival appearances at Cheltenham Jazz Festival and Cornbury Festival, and she’ll be a special guest with Lionel Richie along his UK tour this June-July. Corinne has also announced select album release performances in the U.S. including intimate shows at Mercury Lounge in Manhattan (May 24), National Sawdust in Brooklyn (May 25), and The Lyric Theatre in Los Angeles (June 9-10). The Heart Speaks In Whispers is rich in fresh ideas and full of emotional energy which surges through its songs like electricity. Recorded both at her studio in Leeds, and in Los Angeles, the album is co-produced by Corinne with Steve Brown, her collaborator on her critically acclaimed previous album The Sea.
