Los Angeles, California: On Carol Duboc’s deeply personal 2013 release, “Smile,” the contemporary jazz singer-songwriter opened up in a way that she had never done so before, revealing the pain and heartache involved with dissolving her marriage while being the mother of a young daughter. She described writing the album with producer and jazz keyboards legend Jeff Lorber as therapeutic.

Contemporary Jazz Saxman Lebron Dennis comes back to the scene with a new, energetic project entitled, “New Era” – first released on June 24th, 2015 on Trippin and Rhythm Records. Joining Lebron on a few selections are special guests Julian Vaughn (bassist), Keith Fluitt (Vocals), Lin Rountree (Trumpet), Rachael Gehmilch (Violin) and many more. This is Lebron’s 2nd offering to date behind the successful release of “Shades” back in 2013. The ‘young lion’ joins an impressive list of jazz musicians who are still parading the circuit, helping to keep the pure essence of modern jazz music alive.

Bend To The Light, which is my 7th CD, is a collection with music that is meant to leave people feeling good and inspired. Bending towards that positive energy in life is a lifelong goal for all of us and this music is inspired by that aspiration – especially the title cut. I wrote that tune for my sons who were quite active (thank god they are so strong and healthy) but, they doing the usual troublesome things that parents have to deal with: acting up, shouting, fighting, taking each others toys, etc. (They were about 5 and 7 years old at the time.)
