New Singer Tara Priya Wins Billboard Song Contest with Retro-Soul Flavored Single, “Rollin'”

Tara Priya’s EP Wins Major Songwriting Awards

Tara Priya, a
singer/songwriter in the style of retro-soul, has been named a winner
in the 18th Annual Billboard Song Contest for her original R&B song
“Rollin'”. Inspired by The Temptations and Aretha Franklin, this upbeat
track features a fresh-voiced Tara singing her troubles away with a
little sass and growl.

The great-niece of the famed Middle
Eastern poet, Sohrab Sepehri, art is in Tara’s blood. Piano and poetry
began at 4, drums at 9; opera training commenced at 11, jazz voice added
in high school. After winning two prestigious writing scholarships,
Tara switched coasts to attend Columbia University, where she quickly
settled down in NYC’s performance circuit. To continue, please click “MORE”!
