Following the release of his new EP “CKay The Second”, today Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer CKay unveils the romantic visuals for the project’s lead single, “Forever”. “It’s a song about undying love – a love that lives forever,” CKay explains. Set in an idyllic Mexican village, the Jyde Ajala -directed video gives a nod to iconic movie love scenes.

His first project under his new record deal with AWAL, the EP is sequel to CKay’s 2019 release “CKay The First”, which featuredhis breakout single, “Love Nwantiti,”. The track blew up globally, becoming TikTok’s most-used sound in 2021, and surpassing over 2 billion streams. The song peaked at #26 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and earned multi-platinum certifications in over 20 countries. ”CKay The Second” also builds on the foundation laid by his 2024 debut album “Emotions”. With a sound that is genre-fluid, emotionally resonant, and globally minded, the EP explores themes of love, identity, and personal growth through a new lens.

Inspired by a season of clarity, transformation, and confidence, CKay delivers an elevated sound that blends Afrobeats, R&B, and alternative pop influences. The EP features collaborations with fellow Nigerian star Bella Shmurda and American R&B singer-songwriter Sabrina Claudio. From deeply melodic arrangements to introspective lyrics, each track invites you deeper into his world. “I have always made music that feels honest, sometimes too honest,” CKay says. “This project holds nothing back. It reflects exactly where I am right now.”

The new record deal marks a defining shift in CKay’s journey as he steps further into creative control with global intent. “This is not just a new project. It is the beginning of something far deeper,” CKay shares. “Every phase of my journey has shaped me and now it is time to own the moment.”
