Gospel Trio Half Mile Home Combats COVID-19 Strife with Prayerful New Single/Video

Akron, Ohio’s powerhouse contemporary gospel vocal trio Half Mile Home is rush releasing an urgent message for everyone feeling the pressures ignited by the COVID-19 virus crisis with the soul-stirring prayer song “Lord, I Need You.” Will soon be available for streaming on all platforms, the song simply stresses that in the midst of all the chaos, uncertainty and grief, we need Jesus now more than ever.
Produced by group member Todd Burton, and Khyrie Tyler “Lord, I Need You” opens with an otherworldly track of acoustic guitar buoyed by synthesizer orchestration and ambience. The first verse, sung by Terence ”Buttons” Burton, speaks of the worthlessness of our worldly possessions and how the only substantial satisfaction we have is a close relationship to God. As the track begins to build in power, the second verse – sung by Darryl “Deaken” Brownlee – turns up the heat, speaking to how bruised and abused our hearts and souls have been in this unforeseeable time when lives have been changed in ways that we never imagined during our lifetime on Earth.
