Independent artist Danny Kean spins his old school soulful flair on his latest single, “You Love Me”
Inspired by R&B greats like Marvin (Gaye) to blues/jazz icon Ray Charles, Danny Kean already figured out his destination in the music industry from the time he tinkled the ivories at a very young age. Though the name may not be household, his accomplishments as a singer/songwriter and musician (Tye Tribbett, Gary U.S. Bonds, Maxine Brown et.al.) are otherwise. His blindness since birth has never stopped him from performing what is on his heart in a well-balanced mix of funk, soul and blues, beginning with his debut, Blind by Design, in 2002.
On his latest single, “You Love Me,” Danny Kean exercises his trademark suave soulful voice, backed by a sweet guitar anchored groove. This is just a sample of his upcoming self-released E.P., Here It Is, that includes Neil Young’s classic, Heart of Gold.
