BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Black Star Communications) February 17, 2011 — R&B legend GUY has announced that the group will be taking part in two television specials this month honoring Black History.
 
“Way Black When,” a month long celebration of Black pop culture from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s, will feature a performance by Guy on Thursday, February 17 on TV One at 10 p.m ET.

2011—R&B Icon Bobby Brown’s performance of his new single, “Get
Out The Way”, will air for the first time on TV One’s  “Way Black When”
on February 9th.  The single is from his forthcoming CD, on B Brown
Productions/Bronx Bridge Entertainment, Inc., which will be released
Spring 2011 through Fontana Distribution.

Bobby Brown, who is one of the biggest R&B stars in the business,
came on the scene in the late 80’s with his schoolmates, Michael Bivins,
Ralph Tresvant, Ronnie DeVoe and Ricky Bell, to form New Edition.  He
left the group and released his debut solo album “King of Stage” in 1987
that produced the hit “Girlfriend”.  His follow-up album “Don’t Be
Cruel”, sold over 7 million copies and had 5 top ten hits as well as
garnered him a Grammy Award for Best Rhythm and Blues Vocal Performance,
Male in 1989, and contributed to Ja Rule’s single, “Thug Lovin” in 2002
which won Brown a Source Award for R&B/Rap Collaboration of the
