Ntjam Rosie to Release New Self-Titled Album
Cameroonian-Dutch singer, songwriter and producer Ntjam Rosie returns with her first self-titled album —a warm, soul-rooted project shaped by faith, identity, motherhood and creative renewal. Written mostly on guitar and produced by Rosie alongside Fontanez (Lucas Meijers) and Rik van der Ouw, with additional production by Tim Eijmaal (“Better”), the album presents a lighter, groove-driven sound that highlights her clarity as both vocalist and storyteller. Rosie moves between English and her mother tongue Bulu, exploring themes of personal growth, resilience, and emotional connection. Songs like “Better,” “Whose I Am,” and “Môs ôse” reflect her renewed sense of purpose, while “In Your Arms,” “Nelly’s Song,” and “Lost in Translation” offer tender reflections on love, friendship and belonging. Featuring contributions from Hassan Ait Moumad, Emiel van Rijthoven, Koko Lawson, Yoran Vroom, Tuur Moens, Willem van der Krabben, Floris Windey, Donald Simoen, and the Ragazze Quartet, the album blends intimacy with rich musicality.
“This is where I am now,” she says. “I’ve evolved. I’ve studied. I’ve collaborated. I’ve performed. And now, I just want to make music that is rooted in love and respect for the gift and my craft. I want no gimmicks. No ego. Just gratitude.”
It is music that invites the listener to breathe, to reflect, and to reconnect. Not only with her, but with themselves. In a culture obsessed with reinvention, Ntjam Rosie offers something more powerful: artistic integrity and spiritual peace. This album is her personal testimony, but above all, it’s the sound of her own spiritual evolution. Her freedom.
