(New York, NY — January 2, 2026) Today, three-time GRAMMY AWARD ® winning artist, actress, and poet Jill Scott announces the release of her long-awaited sixth studio album To Whom This May Concern, out February 13, via Human Re Sources/The Orchard. The first single “Beautiful People” is available now on all streaming platforms.
At its core, To Whom This May Concern is an offering leaning heavily into the power of connectivity, humanity, and collective home. It reflects Scott’s grit and grace, grounded in her lifelong commitment to inspire, uplift, and remind us that sometimes the most powerful magic is simply showing up with love, truth, and with always a song in heart.
Returning with a proverbial carpetbag full of stories, spirit, and soul, Scott returns with a body of work that is equal parts magic, medicine, and mastery. A true collaborator at heart, the album features dynamic artists Ab-Soul, J.I.D., Tierra Whack and Too $hort alongside notable producers Adam Blackstone, Om’Mas Keith, DJ Premier, Camper, Andre Harris, Seige Montracity, Trombone Shorty, Eric Wortham, DW Wright, and VT Tolan.
The album arrives as her first full-length offering in nearly a decade, following a luminous milestone year celebrating the 20th Anniversary of her groundbreaking debut, Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol. 1—the album that earned her a Grammy Award and forever shifted the sound and spirit of modern soul. Most recently, Scott graced stages across North America on a sold-out 20th Anniversary Tour spanning more than 20 cities, engaging in an intimate, timeless exchange with audiences who continue to meet her music where memory, desire, and truth collide.
The newly revealed album artwork features evocative imagery by acclaimed visual artist Marcellus, whose work sparked the visual and emotional foundation of the project. Rich with color and texture, the visuals mirror Scott’s sonic world; one where poetry paints walls, melodies move like brushstrokes, and joy arrives with a knowing wink.
