DIAMOND AND GRAMMY®-WINNING HITMAKER TOBY GAD USHERS IN THE SEASON WITH HIS FIRST HOLIDAY ALBUM, PIANO DIARIES – CHRISTMAS
Featuring performances by Jordin Sparks, Victoria Justice, Loren Allred, Sam Ryder, Anthony Gargiula, Megan McKenna, and more
Los Angeles, CA – November 5, 2025 – After decades shaping some of pop music’s most defining hits, GRAMMY®-winning and Diamond-certified songwriter Toby Gad turns inward this season with the release of his first, all-originals holiday album, Piano Diaries – Christmas. Gad is the creative force behind several of the most enduring hits in modern pop music, including John Legend’s “All Of Me,” Beyoncé’s “If I Were A Boy,” and Fergie’s “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” songs that have defined careers and soundtracked millions of lives around the world.
Each song on Piano Diaries – Christmas was born from authentic, intimate collaboration, as Gad invited twelve world-class vocalists to sit at the piano and transform their most personal holiday memories into original songs. The result is a modern seasonal songbook that blends intimacy and sophistication through piano, orchestral, and vocal performances. The twelve-track collection showcases Gad’s signature piano-driven storytelling, brought to life by American Idol Jordin Sparks, TV-darling Victoria Justice, “Greatest Showman-singer” Loren Allred, Celeb-X-winner Megan McKenna, The Voice-winner S24 Michael Huntley, X-Factor winner Louisa Johnson, TikTok sensation Anthony Gargiula, UK Eurovision star Sam Ryder, and more.
A deeply personal project, the album radiates warmth and reflection, with each track unfolding like an entry in Gad’s musical diary, intimate, cinematic, and timeless. Piano Diaries – Christmas will be available on all streaming platforms starting on November 7, via Kite Records, with a limited-edition vinyl to be sold at the London Shard alongside two exclusive Christmas Live performances on December 15 and 16.
The album strikes a rare balance between reverence and reinvention. Jordin Sparks’ “Christmas Takes Me Back Home” and Michael Huntley’s “Mama Made Christmas” channel nostalgia and family tradition. At the same time, Megan McKenna’s “Feels Like Hallelujah” and Anthony Gargiula’s “Fall in Love with Christmas” radiate pure joy. Victoria Justice’s “Blessed” and Dionne Bromfield’s “Christmas For One” bring emotional depth and quiet introspection, rounding out an album that celebrates the many shades of the holiday season.
About the song:
Dionne Bromfield’s “Christmas for One” is a soulful, introspective anthem about finding strength and self-love amid loneliness and family strife, channeling the resilience her godmother Amy Winehouse admired in her. With heartfelt honesty, the song flips the traditional holiday narrative, celebrating solitude not as sadness but as uplifting empowerment. It’s a poignant reminder that sometimes the greatest gift is embracing yourself, even when the world feels quiet and cold.
Quote from Toby Gad:
“I wrote with the 16 year old Dionne back when Amy Winehouse signed her to her Lioness label, but when Amy died, everything fell apart for Dionne. I always loved her unique jazzy tone and recently I was invited to the spring ball in London and needed a plus-one to walk the red carpet. She joined and we had a wonderful evening together. We wrote this song in a noisy Air-BnB in Shoreditch next to train tracks in the sweltering London Summer heat without AC. We talked about her family troubles and how she spent Christmas alone, happier being by herself than having any arguments and fights during the holiday. I remember loving the lyric but not being so sure about the music while we wrote it but after I went home and played the Boesendorfer Piano on it, I fell in love with it.”
