Alongside the release, Felicia has been announced as the season opener for the historic Billie Holiday Theatre on October 9 in Brooklyn.
Leaning into a Silk Sonic-inspired groove, “Don’t Wanna Be Lonely” is equal parts sultry and bold. Over smooth instrumentation and retro-tinged production, Felica flips vulnerability into confidence, shamelessly shooting her shot. The music video brings that energy to life in a playful, 1960s-inspired setting, where she moves through lovers and possibilities with effortless charm and vintage flair.
In addition to her new release, Felicia will open the 2025-2026 Season for the Billie Holiday Theatre, one of the nation’s preeminent arts and culture institutions, as part of its celebrated BILLIE & BEYOND series, co-produced with veteran journalist and producer Bonsu Thompson. The October 9 event will be hosted by media personality and culture critic Dawn Montgomery (Okayplayer Podcast), with music by DJ NYLA and a performance from vocalist Siaira Shawn.
