Adrianna Freeman to Unveil Her Most Vulnerable Song Yet with New Single
“Blue, Bluer Than Bluegrass” – Out July 18, 2025

– July 2, 2025 — Country music artist Adrianna Freeman releases her newest single, “Blue, Bluer Than Bluegrass,” a haunting and deeply personal ballad that pulls from the depths of grief, heartbreak, and emotional reckoning. Cut at the renowned Treasury Isles Studio in Nashville, the track showcases Freeman at her rawest and most honest—both lyrically and vocally.

“This is one of the most vulnerable pieces I’ve ever recorded,” says Freeman. “It took more out of me than I expected. The moment I stepped behind the mic, feelings I thought had long healed came rushing back. Grief, heartbreak, the weight of things unsaid — it all surfaced.”

Blending the traditions of classic country with the soul-stirring ache of bluegrass, “Blue, Bluer Than Bluegrass” is more than a song—it’s an emotional journey. Every lyric carries weight, and every note rings with truth. Freeman doesn’t just sing about pain—she walks listeners through it.

Born in Tallahassee, Florida, Adrianna Freeman is the eldest daughter of Ed Freeman, a former sharecropper, and his wife, Theresa. Inspired by her father and grandfather, she gravitated toward country music from an early age. While her peers were drawn to R&B, Freeman was absorbing the timeless stories of Loretta Lynn and Patty Loveless—voices that would shape her own.

From church pews to county fairs, Freeman honed her craft with grace and grit. She began writing poetry that would evolve into songwriting, eventually catching the ear of Teddy Gentry from the legendary group Alabama. Gentry, who produced one of Freeman’s early projects, likened her vocal passion to that of Tammy Wynette—a remarkable compliment from a founding member of one of country music’s most iconic acts.

Freeman first gained national attention with her single “Just A Girl,” which became the official theme song of The National Network for Youth (NN4Y) in Washington, D.C. Her debut album, “Either You Do or You Don’t,” earned glowing reviews and solidified her place as a rising force in country music.

Now, with “Blue, Bluer Than Bluegrass,” Adrianna Freeman delivers a powerful statement of truth and resilience. “This song is raw, real, and filled with the kind of pain that makes us stronger,” she says. With a voice that is as haunting as it is beautiful, Freeman continues to forge her path in country music with honesty, courage, and soul.

The single will be available on streaming platforms on July 18, 2025.
