(WEST MEMPHIS, AR) – April 22 , 2025 – National Southern Soul songstress Cecily Wilborn has announced the release of her highly anticipated new single “I Need The Blues” available on April 25th. Cecily recently signed with legendary record label “Blackground Records 2.0” led by co-founder Industry Executive Barry Hankerson. The label has previously been home to artist such as Timbaland & Magoo, Tank, JoJo, Toni Braxton and the late great R&B icon Aaliyah (Barry Hankerson’s neice) to name a few.

Coming off the success from her previous single “Southern Man” (which garnered 13.6 million streams worldwide, Cecily Wilborn is at the top of her game and poised to be one of the biggest names in the Southern Soul genre. She has shared the stage with the likes of King George, Jeter Jones and Trina to name a few. The West Memphis, Arkansas native has also performed at BB King’s Stage, Essence Festival, The Apollo in NYC, Memphis vs Lakers at the Fed Ex Forum in Memphis, TN, Southland Casino and the historic Ground Zero Blues Club.
