Flutist Althea René Releases New Single “18 Karat” | WATCH NEW VIDEO!

Althea René bestows a pre-Valentine Day’s gift from her upcoming E.P.

Her debut release, Flute Talks, would be just the beginning of a stellar career for Althea René, who was destined to take the industry spotlight as one of the busiest musicians and festival hosts. All the dedication from the Detroit born flutist since a very early age deservedly paid off as the first solo flutist to reach number 1 on the Billboard charts with the title track from her 2015 album, In the Flow.

After much anticipation in experiencing René’s impeccable work ethic in the studio once again, the title track from her upcoming self-released 4-track E.P., 18 Karat, is anchored by producer/composer Demetrius Krayon Nabors (KEM). Rene’s affection of soul, funk and jazz are demonstrated with unique flute harmonies and her flawless improvisations, driven by the contagious energy from a Detroit based band of Robert Skinner, Gary Johnson and Nate Winn.

The single of “18 Karat” is currently available on several digital platforms. The E.P. will be available in mid-February.
