October London discovers the sustaining qualities of “A Beautiful Woman”

Jared Samuel Erskine’ adoration of music was passed on by his parents and extended family. Whether sending a message about racial inequality with “Black Man in America,” or sprinkling the sexy through “Back to Your Place,” the singer/songwriter known as October London found himself quite busy for the past several years. Since hooking up with recording mogul, tour mate, et.al, Snoop Dogg in 2016, London’s discography includes several E.P.’s and his unique full-length tribute project honoring Marvin Gaye. Thanks to his elaborately silky delivery, London has been a chart fixture for Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay and earned a 2023 Soul Train Music Awards nomination.

From London’s upcoming October Nights release, his latest single, “A Beautiful Woman,” honors a special romantic partner. Though there is some grown and sexy in the mix, London expresses class praising his spouse while never taking his love life for granted again: “I tell you datin ain’t the life no more/ Not since I met the kindest soul/ She brightens all the darkest places/ Puts smiles on all the frowning faces.” Co-produced by London and Soopafly, the soundtrack for “A Beautiful Woman” drips with sophistication accented by a deep groovin’ foundation, a lively flute, and brass hooks.
