R&B Songstress Chrissy T Releases New Debut EP “Metamorphosis”
Columbus-based multi-creative Chrissy T has found her own sound as she prepares to release her debut EP “Metamorphosis” on September 20th, 2024. Included on the project are six electrifying songs that infuse a blend of deeply personal lyrics, smooth bops, and Chrissy T’s honey dipped soprano voice. Her vocal prowess shines bright on her debut single “Stuck in Limbo”. The motivational bop finds Chrissy T struggling with everyday life but also talks about finding purpose. “Stuck in Limbo” is a track that will most definitely get “stuck in your head for months to come. Chrissy T recently had a listening party for the EP and attendees quickly chose their favorite tracks. “Shadows” and the emotional “Home” were early standouts. But Chrissy hopes you enjoy the entire EP.
All of the tracks were written and vocally produced by her along with production from Bobby Deuce & Greg Owens. Chrissy really showcased her vast diversity in music with another stand out track “Shine”, which samples “Everyday People” by Arrested Development. The track will not only scratch your nostalgic itch, it will also display how talented of an artist she is. There is no way you can categorize this EP in one genre. “85 to Infinity” features poetry from her Dad, the late Roosevelt Turner, who was a musical connoisseur and Chrissy’s biggest musical inspiration. When asked about why this EP was so delayed, Chrissy T mentioned “I went through some MAJOR life transitions in the last several years that definitely inspired this album and the album title. I wanted to write music that was universal and deeply personal. I also wanted to create music with a producer who understood my vision and helped me grow as an artist. This special album has been under wraps for almost 2 years and will finally be released on my Mom’s heavenly birthday”.
