R&B Singer Chrisette Michele Releases New Single “Home” | WATCH NEW VIDEO!

After a wait of four years, Chrisette Michele finally yearns for her true “Home”

2008 proved to be a great starting point for singer/songwriter Chrisette Michele charting her first four CD’s on the Billboard R&B Top 10 and touring with Mary J. Blige, Raheem DeVaughn and others. Yet for the past few years, artistic trails proved to be a temporary obstacle, though she expressed her frustrations via spoken word platforms. Thankfully, Michele blazes back in 2024 with a homecoming entitled “Home,” her first solo single in four years, backed by an upcoming Chrisette Michele Is Home Tour.

From the moment Michele whispers at the beginning of “Home”: “It’s so good to be back,” there is so much relief overflowing from her spirit. Even the CD single cover hints toward a smiling Michelle, surrounded by a room of suitcases. “Home” fills the neo-soul atmosphere with some gospel touches, framed by delicate guitar strokes, finger snapping and brass fills. The studio continuing lighting up with Michele’s soprano merrily scatting along and injecting joy that she’s back where she belongs:

“Have you ever been afraid to show your face at ya folks house/Made a big mistake/So what, bring a big suitcase.”

“Home” is currently available on most digital outlets.
