R&B Group Az Yet Releases Cover of Classic Ballad “Send For Me” | WATCH NEW VIDEO!
Az Yet spreads some love for old school R&B sensations, Atlantic Starr
One of R&B and eventually pop charting bands, Atlantic Starr, developed a very successful run with “Circles,” “Secret Lover,” i.e. from the late 70’s through early nineties, even with some personnel changes. Fast forward to 1996 as the vocal group, Az Yet, enjoyed their brief spotlight that earned two high charting Billboard Hot 100 placements, including pop band’s smash cover, “Hard to Say I’m Sorry,” on their self-titled debut CD via artist extraordinaire Babyface under his LaFace Records. The quintet also experienced many rotating vocalists, but have stayed in the industry through several movie soundtracks and two full-lengths in the 2000’s.
Recently, Az Yet introduced their latest lineup (Kenny Terry, Dyshon Bennett, Jibriel Patterson, Jay Naught & Drayton) by choosing another of Atlantic Starr’s finest hours entitled “Send For Me” from their 1981 Billboard R&B Top 5 CD, Radiant. Anchored by several lead voices, the background production lets everyone release the joy they embrace for their heroes, Atlantic Starr.
“Send For Me” performed by Az Yet is currently available on YouTube.
