Filipino-Canadian Singer Marzia Releases New Single “She Is Her”

This is MARZIA, a Filipino-Canadian R&B singer born and raised in General Santos, Philippines and currently based in Surrey, British Columbia.

MARZIA: I love music that just makes you feel a good type of way…and with this song, “She Is Her,” being my debut single, I wanted to do just that.

There’s this one bible verse that came into my mind: “she is more precious than rubies.” The inspiration for the song stems largely from that. From the title, to the feel, to the meaning of the song. I wanted to emphasize how taking a hold of the right person is so important that instead of looking for the right person, be the right person. On the other hand, it’s also about a guy forgetting a girl’s value and it’s to remind him of how much she really means to him.

The song is predominantly R&B, but I really wanted to have more of a lyrical approach to the song. It’s not the typical song structure you expect because I wanted to speak through lyrics and relate to anyone who may feel they’ve lost touch of their love or even their own ways of love towards someone.
