Travis Greene & Forward City Release New Album “Strike The Ground” | WATCH NEW VIDEO!
Travis Greene & Forward City ignites the praise and worship platform with Strike the Ground, recorded live at Forward City Church
It is common these days for veteran worship pastors to add pulpit pastor to their evolving ministry (i.e., Smokie Norful, Tauren Wells). Another of those crossing over with their giftings is Travis Greene. Reaching back to 2016 when Forward City Church in Columbia, South Carolina opened up with several hours of enthusiastic worship and a push for more diversity in the body of Christ, Greene was already one of contemporary gospels game-changing presences in the last decade. His ability in weaving pop, R&B, world music and more added another artistic level while meshing scriptural anecdotes – earning Grammy and Stellar nominations/and or wins and several #1 gospel hits like “Made a Way” and “Intentional,” creating a harmonious blend of music and ministry that resonates with audiences, much like the art of eloquent paper writing.
Fast forward to Greene and Forward City logging in their second project, Strike the Ground for music collective Tribl (Maverick City Gospel). The follow-up to Expect Impossible in 2022 leans strictly on in-house worship leaders and musicians from Forward City. While Greene and company provide that rawness of the Holy Spirit throughout Strike the Ground, standouts include the title track, “Track Record”, “Expect the Impossible,” and “Just Saying What He Said.”
