Theo Forsett was born and raised in Bartow, Florida the youngest of six. He began singing in the church choir at the age of six along with in his family. Theo’s main musical influences in his life as a young child was his mentor and all-time favorite, Stevie Wonder who he met and sang for, Donnie Hathaway and Peabo Bryson. As Theo started to grow as a performer, he studied the arts perfecting his singing, dancing, and acting skills while performing in local talent shows and with local Florida bands.

Needing to broaden his opportunities, as a teenager in the 12th grade, Theo took a leap of faith and moved to Los Angeles to further his career. He registered at Fairfax High School and soon joined the music department where he met classmate and music producers DeYon Dobson and Lance Vantile Whitfield. Theo went on to study Comedy and Drama at the Inner-City Culture Center and started performing at local open mic clubs such as Skippy Lows talent show case where he met people like Rick James, George Benson, Donna Summers, and many others who were very impressed with his vocal ability. People started to notice this young up and coming singer. He was asked to sing background vocals for Diana Ross, Little Richard and on Eddie Murphy’s record produced by Stevie Wonder.

Theo’s career started burning on all cylinders and was getting noticed as a promising actor. He had signed with the Toni Kelman Agency who represented all areas of his acting career from commercial, television and film. A few years later he signed with the Harry Gold Agency where he landed his first TV Pilot and Film, titled The Hero. Theo had the opportunity to work with director Bill Duke. Many other directors have influenced and helped shape his knowledge and skills of filmmaking, from greats such as Ray Danton, Roy Campanella, Eric Lanaville, Thomas Carter, and Kevin Hooks.

It was the industry’s heavy hitters George Jackson and Doug McHenry, the producers of New Jack City and Jason’s Lyric, who discovered Theo’s writing ability. He was contracted to write a screenplay for Warner Bros. Wasting no time, Theo seized the opportunity and created an intriguing heartfelt movie titled, “Back N The Day”, about five kids on the day that Martin Luther King was killed and how they dealt with his death. They loved it and optioned Theo’s screenplay. Soon after Theo went on to work with producer Chip Miller on a film project titled “Black Beach,” a comedy based on college kids going to a vacation spot in Florida.

After taking a hiatus from music to focus more on his acting and writing career, currently, this multi-faceted entertainer is excited to release his long-awaited debut album, ”Love at Your Fingatips.”
