Multi-Award Singer-Songwriter and Entertainer, BRADD MARQUIS Releases The Visuals To His Rendition of The Bob Dylan/Sam Cooke Classic, “BLOWIN’ IN THE WIND”
The energetic and live performance visuals for “BLOWIN’ IN THE WIND” were directed by Azzie Scott courtesy of The Dream Dept. “I wanted to give my fans and the fans of Sam Cooke a moment from the show that would inspire them to come and see the show. Cooke’s version of Bob Dylan’s “Blowin’ in the Wind” is one of my favorite songs to perform,” mentions Bradd.
“BLOWIN’ IN THE WIND,” originally written by the one and only, Bob Dylan and performed by the iconic, Sam Cooke. “Sam thought this song spoke so closely to the conditions of Black America during the civil rights movement that it should have been written by a black man. Sam did the next best thing; he covered it,” mentions Bradd Marquis. “Unfortunately, the message of this song still resonates to this day,” he adds. “BLOWIN’ IN THE WIND” is globally available now on all streaming and digital platforms.
Bradd Marquis transports you back in time through the life of Sam Cooke. He explores his journey from the son of a preacher in Clarksdale, Mississippi, to his recruitment into the number one Gospel group in Chicago, The Soul Stirrers. We journey with him as he crosses over into secular music, his rise to a pop icon, and his tragic death as he begins his transformation into a social activist.
