Singer JADE to Release New 6-Track EP “Contact”

(Los Angeles / 2022) JADE is a stunningly mature and multi-faceted young artist who straddles the musical fences of Pop and R&B. The Arizona-native is dropping her mesmerizing first EP, Contact, on the wings of its lead single, “Lucky Stars.”

For Contact (releasing through the artist’s own TS2 Enterprises company), JADE made a conscious decision to come out to the masses utilizing the soft floaty tones of her range over hefty beats and R&B/Pop instrumentation with cool semidetached harmonies and supporting melodies.

The six self-penned songs tell a story of a young woman defining what she wants out of love. To produce, JADE called upon Bobby Genius. “I’ve done so much with my voice in the past, I didn’t know how I wanted to introduce myself,” JADE shares, alluding to her past in opera, Pop and musical theater. “Bobby’s sound is a combination of everything I love most – Pop, Soul and Hip-Hop. The songs we created give me the opportunity to wield my uniqueness in this in-between space… my ‘sweet spot.’”

Those songs swing from the romance dance of “Lucky Stars,” and the dreamily introspective “No Guarantee” and “Stay Down,” the otherworldly love telegram “Waitin’” (produced by Cherry Hill), building up to the more sensual “Bet It All” and “The Pilot”. The former, the sole production by Worldwide Dre (Bobby Valentino, Giveon), was originally written in 2018 for a since-shelved project, it boasts a bluesier rhythmic feel, cinematic piano and synth-trumpet elements, foreshadowing future directions from JADE.

To launch Contact, JADE will make a big splash on April 5 performing “No Guarantee”, “Waitin'” and “Lucky Stars” live during the halftime of a basketball face-off between the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Lakers at Footprint Arena. It will put the world on notice that the upper echelon of Soul-Pop is now entering Generation JADE.
