Contemporary Jazz Saxophonist Justin Lancaster Drops New Single “Without A Doubt”

Seemingly appearing on the jazz scene out of nowhere, Saxophonist Justin Lancaster brings a fresh perspective to contemporary jazz, including a versatile array of everything from head-bobbing jams to smooth serenades. Hailing from the Galveston Island area of Texas, the saxophonist grew up around an incredibly talented and musically-inclined community in the small city of LaMarque.

Despite not receiving private lessons, he cites the vast wealth of knowledge shared with him by his music instructors and peers as an integral part of his musical upbringing and maturity. Throughout high school, he was a part of a second-line band known as Last Minute Brass Band that was a consistent staple for parties of all kinds, most notably during Mardi Gras season.

Upon attending college at the University of Houston, he continued to hone his gift at open-mic nights and private functions. He later ventured out to Denver, CO and eventually laid roots in Albuquerque, NM. The experience shared between working with the jazz, funk, R&B, and rock genres throughout these cities helped cultivate his unique performance style.
