Kim Tibbs Releases New Single “I Need You For Your Love”

Fueling the vintage soul music flames, veteran singer/songwriter/keyboardist Kim Tibbs has recently dropped several singles of special note towards her ambitious solo music journey

No stranger to the music industry, Kim Tibbs is finally breaking out on her own terms. A recent transplant from the U.S. to the U.K., the love and respect from radio programmers for Tibbs’ raw perspective of a sound that especially beckons Curtis Mayfield, presented with a unfiltered studio presence sans the overdubs and vocal trickery. Of the four straight singles she released in 2016 to U.K. radio that are already in heavy rotation, “I Need You For Your Love” and “Soul” have generated number #1 placings on the Official U.K. Soul Chart. With plenty of experience to fall back as a keyboardist backing The Blind Boys of Alabama, playing alongside The Hi Records Rhythm Section and many other artists outside the soul market, Tibbs’s respect for the soul greats and the musical gifts bestowed by her late father are now coming to fruition in anticipation of her upcoming solo release.
