Singer Laurin Talese to Release Debut Album “Gorgeous Chaos” in March 2016
VOCALIST LAURIN TALESE TO RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM WITH ALL-STAR LINE UP FEATURING ADAM BLACKSTONE, ROBERT GLASPER, VIVIAN GREEN, CHRISTIAN MCBRIDE, ULYSSES OWENS JR., CHRISTIAN SANDS AND MORE
PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 9, 2016 – Recording artist, composer and songwriter, Laurin Talese, will release her debut album Gorgeous Chaos, in March 2016. Leading up to the date, she will be holding a series of record release listening events beginning with the Iridium Jazz Club in New York on February 25, 2016, and the Music Box Supper Club in her hometown of Cleveland, OH on March 6, 2016.
Gorgeous Chaos is Laurin Talese’s eagerly anticipated debut album which follows her EP, An Invitation, released late last year. The recording showcases the songstress’ magnificent instrument, and further expands upon her whimsical narrative which provides an alluring glimpse within her personal life experiences. She quotes:
“In my early involvement with romance, there was so much ambiguity. I was eager and impatient; wistful and naive. I had everything to learn, and that first glimpse of awareness and confidence on the horizon was absolutely GORGEOUS. However, while telling my ever-evolving story I would be remiss to exclude the chaos that ensued. That crazy back and forth dance you do when you’re on the precipice of an epiphany.”
Produced by Adam Blackstone (Justin Timberlake, Rihanna) and Ulysses Owens, Jr. (Christian McBride, Kurt Elling, Wynton Marsalis), Gorgeous Chaos features a list of jazz elite including Christian McBride, Christian Sands, and longtime collaborator Eric Wortham alongside Owens and Blackstone. Other notable artists featured on the recording include: Yesseh Furaah-Ali, Erskine Hawkins, Jamar Jones, Josh Lawrence, Anwar Marshall, Ben O’Neill, Steve Tirpak, Joe Truglio, and The Millennial Symphony Garnering early attention from media, Talese is eager to share her project with audiences throughout 2016 and beyond. A Cleveland, OH native, Laurin Talese has worked with numerous American recording artists including Bilal, Robert Glasper, Vivian Green and German superstar, Joy Denelane. She has shared the stage with renowned classical and jazz ensembles such as The Cleveland Orchestra, The Cleveland Jazz Heritage Orchestra, The Moses Hogan Chorale, and the Internationally acclaimed Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg, Austria. Talese has performed around the globe including The Netherlands, UK, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Asia, Brazil, and 30 states within the U.S. Now based out of Philadelphia, PA, Talese is currently performing throughout the East Coast in support of her forthcoming recording, Gorgeous Chaos.
