British singer-songwriter – and two time GRAMMY-winner – Corinne Bailey Rae returns today with the release of “Been To The Moon,” the first song from her forthcoming album The Heart Speaks In Whispers, her first full-length album in 6 years which will be released May 13 on Virgin Records. “Been To The Moon” is available now on all streaming sites and as an instant grat download with pre-orders of The Heart Speaks In Whispers.

Written by Corinne and Steve Brown with Paris and Amber Strother from the LA-based future-soul band KING, and recorded in Capitol Records’ Studio A, “Been To The Moon” is a joyous, vibrant and unique track reflected by the video, which was shot on the stunning volcanic landscapes of Fuerteventura and directed by Favourite Colour: Black.

The Heart Speaks In Whispers is rich in fresh ideas and full of emotional energy which surges through its songs like electricity. Recorded both at her studio in Leeds, and in Los Angeles, the album is co-produced by Corinne with Steve Brown, her collaborator on her critically acclaimed previous album The Sea.

The album features a number of notable musicians including Pino Palladino (D’Angelo, Erykah Badu, The Who), James Gadson (Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers), Marcus Miller (Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock), Esperanza Spalding and Moses Sumney (best known for his work with Beck).

It went on to sell five million copies around the globe and earn her a host of awards. Her second album The Sea – an album of unique and rare beauty – was released in 2010 and was Mercury Music Prize-nominated. It was a Top 5 hit in the UK and Top 10 in the US. Her following release, the covers EP Is This Love, won her a second Grammy Award.
