Gico Music Artist, Gina Carey Announces New Album ‘Can You Dig It’ Following “Gimme the Soul” Single
Gina Carey takes listeners through a time machine with her new CD, “Can You Dig It”
Gico Music announces, the album, “Can You Dig It”, written & produced by Carey, will become accessible to the public by way of iTunes, Amazon & CD Baby on August 3. The funky, disco track, “Gimme the Soul”, will also appear on the album. Since released, the single has grown in popularity and has left many listeners eagerly anticipating its arrival.
On Monday, July 13, Gina plans to release a second single from her forth coming CD, “Funkalicious”. “Funkalicious” is a groovy, funky 70’s type soul track with a 70’s lingo hook line and retro style horns. It has been predicted by many radio presenters currently playing Carey’s music that, this new single will quickly grow in popularity within the independent soul community.
Can You Dig It, Is a funky retro soul Album that capture’s the sound of the late 70’s and early eighties with a modern twist. One particular track, “Messin with My Joy” has a classic 60’s style. This release is packed with standout baseline and guitar licks, vintage horns, organ rips and tambourine. Gina’s voice is raw& soulful, giving this collection of songs the finishing sparkle. The CD includes 10 tracks written & produced by Gina Carey.
Gina Carey plans to celebrate the release of her new album “Can you dig it “on Sunday, September 13 with a free concert. This event will be held at “Clementine Gourmet Marketplace & Café”, 72990 El Paseo Ste. 3 Palm Desert, CA 92260 at 5pm. jamming along with Gina will be her husband and former guitar player with “The Chi-lights”, John Carey.
