Female R&B trio, Kut Klose, makes comeback with “Let It Ring”

After 15 years away from the spotlight the group that brought you hits like “I Like,” “Twisted,” “Surrender,” “Get Up On It,” and “Nobody” makes comeback with female anthem.

ATLANTA – They call it the renaissance period for R&B music. From 1993 to 1996, the Kut Klose and Keith Sweat sound were synonymous with success. The group and its sound helped shape the 90s R&B movement. Now their back! Athena Cage, Lavonn Battle and Tabitha Duncan, the original members of Kut Klose, are making a comeback in a big way. The group that is responsible for hits such as “I Like,” “Twisted (RIAA Platinum),” “Nobody (RIAA Platinum),” and “Get Up On It” is bringing you another smash hit entitled “Let It Ring”. Furthermore, Athena Cage was featured on “All or Nothing” from the multi-platinum selling Save the Last Dance soundtrack.

The group recently reunited teaming with John Michael Howcott (Keith Sweat, Chante Moore, Men In Black Soundtrack, Silk, Divine, Jade, The Braxtons, Vanessa Williams,Tony Terry, Phil Perry and For Real) and his production and Entertainment company, Michael Makinde Entertainment to produce the hit single. The single “Let It Ring” is now available on iTunes and Amazon.com. The group hopes to follow it up with a long-awaited sophomore album.

About Kut Klose

In 1993, Keith Sweat discovered the Atlanta based female R&B group Kut Klose. Sweat also produced the group’s debut album Surrender, which produced their biggest, hit single “I Like”, peaking to #8 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart. The three female singers that make up the group are Athena Cage, Lavonn Battle and Tabitha Duncan. In 1994, Sweat teamed with Kut Klose to produce “Get Up On It,” which peaked at #12 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart. Then in 1996, Kut Klose achieved their greatest success to date teaming with Sweat for yet another collaboration that produced the HIT single “Twisted,” which reached #1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart.
