‘COLORED GIRL’ for NBA Star Doug Christie and his multi-talented
author/designer wife Jackie Christie’s record label Jean Rah Fya
Records. Inspired by Jackie’s new book Proud To Be A Colored Girl and her new 100% organic, eco-friendly clothing line also carrying the ‘COLORED GIRL’ brand, the song is being released on May 9, 2009. Christie’s new book will also be released on May 12, 2009. The song is the third component of the designer’s ‘COLORED GIRL’ brand.

history with her new line, book and song, which was created to inspire
and empower women around the world, but she is also removing the stigma
from the word ‘colored girl’ by stating that all women — no matter
their nationality — have color to their skin and it is something to be

Tinsley was chosen by the label to write, produce, and record the
title song ‘COLORED GIRL’ because of his multi-talented song writing,
producing and recording skills as well as his intense desire to share
in Jackie Christie’s philanthropic endeavors and mission. Through her
COLORED GIRL franchise, Jackie seeks to empower and inspire women
around the world, as well as provide all proceeds to aid impoverished
families and single mothers everywhere.
Colored Girl (CG) is a movement born from Jackie’s desire to unite
women from all walks of life and from all nationalities and cultures. Jackie Christie
inspires to remove the stigma that comes with the term “Colored Girl.”
The age old stereotyping of African American women has gone on
practically unchallenged for centuries, and would probably continue
except Christie is ready to help America change its way of thinking and
feeling about the term ‘Colored Girl’. The song’s title is indicative
of her believe that all women are beautiful.
