Songstress Alfa Anderson Releases New Album “Music From My Heart”

One of Chic’s distinguished voices, Alfa Anderson, finally releases her debut project, that includes a special gift to one of soul’s greatest icons.

Her easy-going, sensual voice stood out as the centerpiece of the legendary R&B dance group, Chic and she once toured with another legend that is Luther Vandross. These days, Alfa Anderson just wrote her first chapter as a solo artist with Music From My Heart. Though Anderson shows off her range as a vocalist, the ultimate highlight belongs to a loving acknowledgement of Vandross on her debut single. “When Luther Sings,” capturing those silky, fun and funky dance grooves back in Chic’s heyday, along with how her vocal mentor and friend deeply touched her heart: “Caught up in the magic you bring/Oh, what a surprise.”
