Singer/Songwriter Gordon Chambers offers a beacon of hope in dedication of Martin Luther King Day 2017 with his latest CD, Surrender, featuring the uplifting “One Voice”
LISTEN TO “ONE VOICE”!
Inspired by Motown legend Stevie Wonder and the year Wonder and Coretta Scott King rallied Congress to honor the legacy of Martin Luther King as an annual national holiday beginning in 1980, Gordon Chambers’ goal throughout his career was first and foremost in reassuring those in the midst of their emotional storms that music can be a healing force. His latest release, Surrender, reveals an autobiographical journal of surviving recent personal challenges, including his soulful reading of “One Voice.” First recorded by Brandy in 1998, these stirring lyrics convey what Chambers’ mission statement has echoed since the day he picked up a pen and hopeful food for thought that rings out on this MLK Day: “A song that heals/A melody of reason and freedom/With words that will speak for the weak/The hopeful and the strong.”
Surrender, released on Chamber Music, is now available on major music sites, including Amazon and I-Tunes.
