Eddie Palmieri was a restless, instinctive innovator whose visionary approach has shaped salsa and Latin jazz for more than seven decades. A powerhouse pianist of brilliance, he expanded the horizons of Afro-Caribbean music, electrifying stages and captivating audiences around the world with his bold arranging, masterful compositions, and unmistakable style.
In recognition of his extraordinary legacy, the City of New York proudly dedicates this street in his honor on July 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM at E 112th St & Park Ave, NYC.
