Expansion Records to Release Original Single & Album “Love You For All Time” by R&B Singer Ashley Scott on July 11th, 2025

Expansion Records is delighted to announce the release of the mesmerising original single and album “Love You For All Time” by Ashley Scott, on the 11th July, 2025.

London, UK / Philadelphia, PA — 4th June 2025 – Expansion Records in partnership licensed by Soulful Sounds International Records proudly announce the release of “Love You For All Time”, the highly anticipated single and debut album by singer/songwriter Ashley Scott.

Ashley states “I’m thrilled to be part of the Expansion Records family, the label is the longest-serving independent soul music label in the UK, spanning more than 35 years and “Love You For All Time” reinforces the label’s deep roots in elevating soul and jazz artistry through other artists like Leroy Hutson, Maysa, and Bluey of Incognito”.

With a rich tapestry of Soul, Jazz, Funk, and heartfelt balladry, Love You For All Time showcases Scott’s evolution as a modern soul artist, blending timeless influences with a contemporary sensibility. The 8-track album follows the February 2025 release of the acclaimed jazz single “Beautifully Made”, produced by Ben Bullock and Bennie Sims, which set the tone for this deeply personal and musically diverse project.

At the heart of the album is the romantic title track “Love You For All Time”, co-written by Whayn Parr, a lush love song inspired by a digital-age romance and elevated by the signature flute of jazz legend Najee.

Ashley Scott, who wrote all of the album’s songs except for the final track, collaborates with a stellar lineup of musical talents:

The mid-tempo groove “Always”, produced by the incomparable Frank McComb, tells the story of a man who finally fulfills a lifelong dream—dating his childhood crush in adulthood.

On the emotional ballad “Forgive and Forget”, also produced by McComb and vocally engineered at the studio of The Prince of Sophisticated Soul, Will Downing, Scott portrays a man caught in emotional confusion, questioning how to move forward from pain within his relationship.

“Questions”, a poignant reflection on emotional vulnerability, was co-written with Scott’s Howard University brother and soul royalty Eric Roberson, and produced by longtime collaborator Damon “Mr. Dizzy Fingers” Bennett.

The funk-infused “Took Me Back”, a nostalgic story of rekindled romance, boasts slick keys and Philly flavor from producer Will Brock.

The sultry duet “Not Now” features rising Philly star Tia Shanae, a soulful conversation between lovers navigating timing, written by La’Trese Jones and keyboardist Stan Brisbon, who also co-wrote Scott’s international 2021 hit “Don’t Throw Our Love Away.”

The album closes with a soulful tribute to Ashley’s late professor Webster Lewis: a stirring reinterpretation of the Michael Wycoff classic “Looking Up To You”, produced by multi-instrumentalist Stan Davis Jr. While not the original writer, Ashley made the rendition uniquely his own, incorporating fresh vocal arrangements and inflections as a nod to 90s R&B duo Zhané, whose hit “Hey Mr. DJ” famously sampled the track.

Love You For All Time is a seamless blend of Smooth Jazz, Classic Soul, Funk, R&B, and deep slow jams. With its powerhouse collaborations, authentic storytelling, and genre-spanning production, this album is positioned to be one of 2025’s most impactful Modern Soul releases.
