Los Angeles, CA – June 13, 2025 – This year, Kool & The Gang Co-Founder and namesake Robert Earl “Kool” Bell will celebrate his 75th birthday on October 8, 2025. Turning up the temperature and tempo in honor of #Kool75, rising Australian DJ and producer Young Franco has delivered a dancefloor-ready Remix of the Kool & The Gang classic “Get Down On It” out now!
Young Franco brings 21st century house music energy to the track, underscoring the instantly recognizable hook with a fast-paced beat and glossy synths. His Remix of “Get Down On It” pops off as a summer-ready dance track tailormade for clubs, pool parties, festivals, and beyond.
Of course, the original “Get Down On It” remains a funk staple and one of the most recognizable R&B songs of all-time. Dominating charts on both sides of the Atlantic, it notably vaulted into the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 and Top 5 on the UK Singles Chart. It also received a Platinum certification from the RIAA in 2024.
Meanwhile, Young Franco has notched 4 ARIA Certified Gold Records, and he has sold out tours on multiple continents, packing houses across the U.S., Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Expanding his influence once again, he landed a massive sync with Mazda this year.
