PBS SPECIAL “ARETHA! WITH SHELÉA AND THE PACIFIC SYMPHONY” BEGINS AIRING NATIONWIDE

Los Angeles, Calif. (May 30, 2025) – GRAMMY®-nominated singer, songwriter, pianist, actress and producer, Sheléa, releases her new single today, “Time Machine,” the follow-up to “Never Give Up On Love,” which is available now on all streaming platforms. Says Sheléa, “This is a song about remembering lost love with a smile. Maybe you get back together. Maybe you don’t. But you’re glad it happened.”

Shelea’s new PBS special, “Aretha! With Sheléa and The Pacific Symphony,” also begins airing nationwide today, and honors the legendary “Queen of Soul,” Aretha Franklin (check local listings). The concert event was taped on November 9, 2024, at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa, California. Conducted by Emmy Award-winning Music Director Rickey Minor, Sheléa performs Franklin classics with the Pacific Symphony and a choir of backup singers including “Chain of Fools,” “Say A Little Prayer,” “Respect” and “Natural Woman.” Other performances in the concert include “Until You Come Back to Me,” “Don’t Play That Song,” “Somewhere,” “Rock Steady,” “Sparkle,” “I Knew You Were Waiting” (duet with Stevie Mackey), “Amazing Grace” and “Precious Memories.” The special will also be available for free streaming on PBS.org and the PBS App through July 14, and an extended version be available with PBS Passport.
