New York, NY (April 25, 2025) – Grammy-nominated R&B singer, producer, and entrepreneur Eric Benét is thrilled to deliver his latest release “Can’t Wait” featuring iconic R&B singer and songwriter, Keri Hilson. Available on all streaming platforms TODAY, this marks the first single off his upcoming collaborative album, The Co-Star. Serving as Benét’s first full-length release in almost 10 years, the 13-track album will be available everywhere on June 6th. Irresistibly catchy and groove-infused, “Can’t Wait” makes yet another splash in Benét’s growing duet roster.

This latest single follows the successful release of Eric’s 5-track DUETS EP this past August, which features collaborations from notable R&B artists like Chanté Moore, Tamar Braxton, Ledisi, LaTocha, and Corinne Bailey Rae. The project marked an undoubtably strong return to the Billboard Adult R&B charts, with the EP’s first single “Something We Can Make Love To” with Tamar Braxton rising to a #1 chart position. Now with The Co-Star, Benét expands upon the collaborative concept to bring to life an artistic vision he’s had for nearly a decade.
Over the course of the 13-song album, Benét positions himself as the “co-star” to each artist – expertly complimenting the unique vocal stylings of each of his duet partners. The project taps in R&B heavy-hitters like Keri Hilson, India Arie, and many more as it explores the genre in a new light. Using classic R&B as a vehicle, the album plays with old-school sounds, Brazilian bossa nova beats, swelling orchestral moments, and even Spanish guitar. Intentional with every collaboration on the project, Eric also dials in young producers to invigorate each track with a fresh take as he emerges in the new R&B space.
