AALIYAH – IF YOUR GIRL ONLY KNEW (THE PACKXSZ LOW-KEY REMIX)

After receiving much airplay this summer with his remix of Groove Theory’s ‘Tell Me’ (No. 8 on The Official BCFM Soul Chart), Dutch remixer The Packxsz is back with another ‘90s inspired remix for your nostalgic needs. This time he chose to remix Aaliyah’s 1996 song ‘If Your Girl Only Knew’.

While ‘If Your Girl Only Knew’ came from her more experimental time-period with Timbaland, the Dutch remixer chose to give his new remix a more traditional R&B approach.

The Packxsz: “When you listen to her debut album there are a lot of nostalgic moments. For example, there are songs like ‘At Your Best (You Are Love)’ and ‘Age Ain’t Nothing but a Number’. Those songs have a very traditional R&B vibe. For this remix I took some of those elements and mixed it with the ‘90s R&B/Hip-Hop sound.”
