Singer Diquan Julius Releases New Single “Heat Of The Night”

March 4, 2022 (WASHINGTON, DC) – Singer/Songwriter Diquan Julius takes a blast to the past in a modern interpretation of 80’s funk, pop, and R&B with his debut EP “Retrospective”, which is currently available for download and streaming on all major platforms. The EP features his award winning single “Let’s Dance” and new stand out single “Heat of the Night”, both of which were produced by UK-based producer Andrew Napoleon of Greenlight Productions. Other producers include Big Bad Beats and Mixtape Seoul.

“There has to be a time when music begins to feel good again”, states Diquan. “When you remember artists such as Michael Jackson, Prince, Stevie Wonder, amongst other exceptional artists, there was a feeling of enjoyment attached to the opening sound of even the beat before the artist began to sing a note. This has been an emotion that has kind of slipped through the cracks of time. It’s about time we start to get back to those times.” This EP is Diquan’s sealing of the cracks to allow the illumination of sound to make the heart full of joy again.

Diquan grew up in the country-side of beautiful South Carolina but admits that the city life of Washington, DC has molded the creativity that gives us all the opportunity to enjoy the tasteful entrée of joy and excitement that we all used to feel in music while doing it in the name of love. This EP will get you moving and grooving with its classic and unforgettable sound and lyricism. Diquan is topping off his release with his tour that starts on March 10.
