The soulful singer-songwriter Sharlene-Monique made her 2021 return with brand-new empowering song ‘Human’ in February & releases her second single of the year ‘Of Love’ in March, pulling inspiration from Lianne La Havas, Lauryn Hill & Jill Scott.

She’s no stranger to the music industry, with a global reach upward of a million streams & having received support from The Voice Online and British Blacklist.

This year Sharlene is set to go on tour with UK pop icon Gabrielle. Originally planned for 2020, the tour has been rescheduled for November 2021 with an 18-date schedule reaching across the UK and Ireland, finishing at London’s enormous Indigo at The O2. Gabrielle says: “I know you are in for a treat as she is an amazing vocalist and lovely woman. I can’t wait to hit the road with her in November!”

Sharlene performed at the 2018 Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as a member of the Kingdom Choir. Sharlene has toured the world performing with the Kingdom Choir, not just as a song writer, having written original song ‘Chases’ for their debut album and co-written their latest single, but as a lead singer also, appearing on The Today Show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, The Hollywood Bowl and The Invictus Games (Australia) to name a few.

The success of her debut EP ‘Destiny’ has garnered varied nominations & awards, as well as seeing her tour UK & Europe wide. Single ‘Diamond Woman’ features on rotation on Jazz FM, and she also performed a bespoke version on their live sessions in 2020.

Sharlene is passionate about sharing this song: “I remember when I started writing Of Love, I was sick and in bed with hyperemesis. I had honestly never felt so low and all I could focus on was the joy of kissing and seeing my daughter to get me through. Sometimes you have to go through immense pain to experience immense joy, & becoming a mum gave me just that, one of the best experiences of my life”
