Los Angeles, CA (November 8, 2016) — Soulful R&B Singer/songwriter Robert Gee is set to debut his sophomore release “Robert Gee – The EP” on Friday, November 11th, 2016. The 2010 Black Music Association’s Best Male Vocalist award winner joined forces with Grammy nominated producer Grant Williams Nicholas (Ledisi, Musiq Soulchild) to deliver a polished collection. “Robert Gee – The EP” is available digitally everywhere including Spotify and iTunes.
Robert Gee was discovered by Patti Labelle as a teen and earned his soul apprenticeship working with many R&B legends including Luther Vandross, Vesta, Teena Marie, Kashif, and The Emotions. Touring with Loose Ends feat. Jane Eugene extensively over the last three years, Robert was not only a featured background artist but stepped into the lead male role opposite Jane Eugene. The Philly native draws upon his soulful roots for the seven track EP, which includes the debut single “All I Ever Wanted” co-written by Gee and Grant William Nicholas. “All I Ever Wanted” is currently on the ballot for Grammy consideration.
“Because I am a native of an iconic soul city like Philly I feel it is my artistic birthright and blessing to lay hold of the soul/R&B torch and carry it forward with pride, artistic integrity and straight up dignity!” – Robert Gee
To celebrate release week with the fans, Gee will be appearing on tour with Jane and Loose Ends during release week opening for the band when they hit New York City (11/10 B.B. Kings), Washington, D.C, (11/11 Howard Theatre) and Chicago (11/13 City Winery).
