Robert Glasper Experiment has released “Thinkin Bout You,” the funky third single from the groundbreaking, GRAMMY-winning band’s new album ArtScience (Blue Note), which comes out September 16. The track features Glasper himself stepping out to deliver the song’s lead vocal. “Thinkin Bout You” is available today on streaming services, and fans who pre-order ArtScience on iTunes will receive the singles “Thinkin Bout You,” “Day to Day” and “Find You” instantly.

ArtScience finds RGX getting down to its essence, with each of the band members—keyboardist Robert Glasper, saxophonist and vocalist Casey Benjamin, bassist Derrick Hodge, and drummer Mark Colenburg—delivering the vocals and sharing in the production and songwriting on the album. Blue Note has also partnered with Dark Matter Coffee, an independent coffee company based in Chicago who has created an exclusive ArtScience coffee blend that celebrates RGX’s distinctive musical blend as well as the striking album artwork created by Chicago-based artist Hebru Brantley. Like RGX, the ArtScience blend is a bold, sexy coffee with notes of chocolate, toffee and brown sugar. A special bundle of the ArtScience coffee with a signed vinyl copy of the album will be available at Dark Matter locations and Dusty Groove record store in Chicago, as well as online at the Robert Glasper Store.

After a year of touring that has taken Glasper across North America, South America, Australia, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, The Experiment returns to NYC on October 3 for an album release show at Bowery Ballroom. An album release party at Brooklyn Bowl hosted by Glasper and featuring DJ StutzMcgee is going down on September 30. Visit robertglasper.com for more tour info.
