SuCh’s touching video “You” depicts a deep personal journal in a journey through abuse

When we first heard from soul singer/songwriter, SuCh, she was wowing the music industry with her number one Independent UK Soul hit “Sugar Maple” and her incredibly unique take on “Maybe I’m Amazed,” a smash hit written by the legendary Paul McCartney for McCartney & Wings. That was back in 2012. Fast forwarding to her award winning role (the Henry Award) as Celie in the Colorado regional musical theater version of The Color Purple, SuCh was inspired to write “You,” accompanied by an intriguing and colorful video that illustrates the far too told story behind abuse. Despite the struggles one may have to face, the video ends in a triumphant moment reflecting the power within ourselves to overcome those circumstances.

SuCh is no stranger to encourage others through the day by day life trails and tribulations as evidenced by her debit full-length album, Stretch Marks. Undoubtedly, “You” will continue in that tradition for this artist who transports us through her diverse musical background to carry the torch for hope through the hardest of life’s times.
