Paula Atherton to Release New CD “Ear Candy”

Saxophonist Paula Atherton releases new disc “Ear Candy” on Feb. 17th from new label Kalimba Music

Paula Atherton‘s new release on Kalimba Music, “Ear Candy,” features her on alto and baritone saxes, vocals and flute. Special guests include Guitarist Nick Colionne, Trumpter Cindy Bradley, and Pianist Gail Jhonson. The compositions on the new recording are influenced by classic funk and Philly soul music. Her first single, “Pocket Full of Funk” will be released January 19th, while the physical CD release is coming February 17th. Mark your calendars cjazz music lovers.

“Ear Candy” will be the 4th CD in Paula’s discography, following the 2012 release “Enjoy The Ride.” Ms. Atherton has recently signed to legendary Earth, Wind & Fire founder Maurice White’s newly re-launched label Kalimba Music.
