(New York, NY – December 16, 2013) – Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Anthony Hamilton celebrates two Grammy® Award nominations for his hit song “Best of Me,” for the upcoming 56th Annual Grammy Awards taking place on January 26, 2014.
Nominated in the categories of Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song, “Best of Me” is the third single from Hamilton’s acclaimed fifth album Back to Love (RCA Records), and brings the Grammy-winning artist to a career total of 14 Grammy nominations thus far.
Of these two Grammy nominations, Anthony Hamilton says, “This year came as a surprise. I’m so excited and so are my fans. Giving the best of me created the best for me. 14 nominations in my career has been more than a blessing.”
Written by Anthony Hamilton and Jairus Mozee, “Best of Me” follows the previous hit singles “Woo” and “Pray for Me” on the 12-track album Back to Love. Garnering high praise among fans and critics alike for his rich vocals, songwriting and electrifying performances, Hamilton continues to be an in-demand artist, hailed for his rare, raw talent.
The soundtrack for the film Django Unchained, which Hamilton was featured on, has also garnered a Grammy nomination for Best Compilation Soundtrack. Besides “Best of Me” and the other tracks on Back to Love, Hamilton can also currently be heard on the song “As” with Marsha Ambrosius, from the original motion picture soundtrack for the hit movie The Best Man Holiday.
