Karen Clark Sheard Set to Record Live CD on September 9 in Chicago
(Detroit, MI – August 9, 2013) – Karew Records is set for the live recording of multiple GRAMMY® Award-winning recording artist Karen Clark Sheard. The September 9 live recording will be produced by GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Donald Lawrence and held at the House of Hope, 752 East 114th Street, Chicago, IL. The recording begins at 7:00 p.m. and doors open at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are available now at ticketmaster.com.
The recording will mark the first project with the label’s new distribution partner, Entertainment One Music (eOne Music). “I am always very excited about working with Donald Lawrence,” says Clark Sheard. “Musically, he brings out the best in me. With this recording, our goal is to capture a body of work that is consistent with my signature sound and to elevate the music and ministry to the next level.”
This summer, Clark Sheard continues her highly demanding concert dates and personal appearance schedule. Bishop and Clark Sheard, along with their daughter, Kierra, and son, J. Drew II, are the subjects of the hit docu-drama series, The Sheards, which premiered on BET in April and airs Sundays at 8 p.m., ET.
