International and National Concert Dates This Summer

(New York, NY – May 6, 2013) — GRAMMY® nominated, multi-talented entertainer Deborah Cox will play her final performance of the Broadway production of JEKYLL & HYDE on Sunday, May 12, 2013, when the musical, which also stars Constantine Maroulis, ends its limited Broadway engagement after 15 previews and 30 regular performances at the Marquis Theatre. Direct from a 25-week national tour which launched in October 2012, JEKYLL & HYDE began previews on Broadway Friday, April 5, 2013 and opened on Thursday, April 18, 2013.

Cox has received rave reviews from critics and theater-goers alike for her role as Lucy, a lady of the night with a yearning for a better life, who captures the attention of both Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in the dark and sexy production of JEKYLL & HYDE. “We had a great run [Jekyll & Hyde] for the past eight months,” says Cox. “We toured all the major cities, including my hometown of Toronto, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, DC, Dallas, Houston, Detroit, Denver, Philadelphia, San Diego, Charlotte, Durham, Buffalo, Tampa, West Palm Beach, Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Providence.  It’s been an awesome experience.  The love and support have been overwhelming.”

This summer, Cox will begin pre-production of her seventh album and perform a series of international and national concert dates, including Chicago, New York, Florida, Australia, and Cape Town, South Africa.  In between recording and concerts, Cox will be in New York City to participate in numerous media and special event engagements. “Everywhere I go, people are constantly asking me, ‘when are you recording your next CD,’” continues Cox.  “We always had plans to start recording this summer.  And I constantly receive performance requests from all over the world. So we are currently booking dates and discussing new opportunities for Broadway, film and television.  I am very excited about the future. I am also planning a family vacation.”
