The Top #100 R&B Slow Jams #13 | Paula Abdul – Rush, Rush

What can we say about the beautiful and radiant, former American Idol Judge Paula Abdul? How about this:

Ms. Abdul gave music listeners a very special Valentines treat over 22 years ago, back in 1991, with a classic song that can be played back, over & over…AND OVER again. Not only because the composition is enticing and hypnotic, not only because mega star Prince helped to pen the track (with Peter Lord), but with the assistance of one of cinema’s endearing action heroes, “NEO”, from movie blockbuster ‘The Matrix’ series.

“NEO” aka Keanu Reeves made an appearance in Paula’s official music video for chart topping single, “Rush, Rush“ and help propel the magnificent ballad all the way to #1 on Billboards Hot 100 chart. It stayed there for a consecutive 5 weeks and also made some traction on Billboards’ Hot R&B chart at #20.

The single can be found off Ms. Abduls’ 2nd recording, “Spellbound,” released in 1991.

Who could EVER forget this classic? Let alone, the screenplay to one of the finest, romantic music video’s ever made?
